Eggslut

Welcome to the temple of food porn. The place where you get your fingers dirty, and you enjoy it, especially when it is captured on camera. At Eggslut, sandwiches are prepared with a soft brioche bun which makes love with all the juices of the sauce and toppings: fried eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, chimichurri… Our heart belongs to the Fairfax, whose creamy scrambled eggs perfectly balance the cheddar cheese and caramelized onions — a great way to start the day and/or to start a nap. Better known as “breakfast sandwich”, these little flavor bombs are available daily until 4PM, as long as you manage to stand in line without triggering an attack of hypoglycemia. While you’re waiting, prepare your stomach and your Instagram filters: “A runny egg probably increases your Instagram likes by 87 percent”,  as a New York Times article recently quoted. We’re not so sure about that percentage, but one thing is certain: the breakfast sandwiches at this casual Grand Central Market are better than good — they’re eggcellent.
