“Good mood, Good Food”, Beachwood Cafe’s motto couldn’t be more true. As you open the door, the spirited yellow and blue pyramid shaped tiles will put you straight in that good mood. As for the good food, once you have sat yourself, ordered, been served, the proof will simply be in the pudding. Recently taken over by Mike Fahin (Sidewalk Grill in Los Feliz, Sotta in Burbank), Beachwood Cafe has nonetheless kept its previous charm: ingredients are organic, eggs are free range, and every dish is made from scratch. From a granola brittle with a true crunch, to quinoa muesli, eggs in all different ways, breakfast burrito, crispy Brussels sprouts, pulled pork sandwich, different kinds of salads and bowls, tarragon strawberry shortcake… There is something for everyone. The same goes for the drinks menu, served all day. From coffee to teas, fresh juices, cocktails, beer, wine and even champagne. Not to mention the themed daily specials, such as “Taco Tuesday”, “Whatever Wednesday”, “Curry Thursday” and “Fish n’ Chips Friday”. Beachwood Cafe is a quintessential combination of a diner — coffee refill — and a café — true table service. The welcome is always warm, and the food just as pleasing. Now whether you are on your way to or from the famous Hollywood sign, or simply looking for some tranquility from the busy Franklin Village, Beachwood Cafe will brighten your day.
