For the most part, we’re blessed with great weather in Los Angeles. However, on the rare occasion that it rains, no one knows what to do. Seriously, try driving on the 405 and you’ll see what we mean. The best way to deal with the rain is to find a good restaurant and dine away until the storm passes. Luckily for you, we’ve compile a list of our 5 places to dine on a rare rainy day in LA. From the perennially popular Tsujita to the classical Petit Trois, here they are:
Tsujita
It’s hard to find something better to eat on a cold rain day than a bowl of ramen. Tsujita has you covered with the finest char siu tsukemen in the city.
Mayura
The best way to deal with unfavorable weather is to eat some comforting food. At Mayura, the massive masala dosas and heart warming Kerala curries will put you just right.
GCM
Where better to be stuck on a rainy day than a giant covered food hall? If it happens to begin raining when you’re in Downtown, head towards Grand Central Market and eat your way from Eggslut to G&B until the storm passes.
Petit Trois
The food at Petit Trois is ridiculously rich but when the temperature begins to drop and rare winter weather hits LA, this tiny place is where you want to be. The French onion soup is our favorite and we guarantee you’ll love it as well.
Jon & Vinny’s
Though Jon & Vinny’s is always filled up regardless of the weather, piping hot meatballs and a plate of spicy fusilli are just what you want when the clouds decide to open. If you happen to forget an umbrella, just grab a pizza box as you head for the door.
