The best tacos

It’s well known that the best tacos in the United States can be found in LA. When you mix the city’s deep-rooted Mexican culture with driven individuals and exceptional produce, great things are bound to happen. From Wes Avila’s foie gras topped specials to the $1.25 al pastor at Leo’s, here are the 5 best places to get your taco fix in LA.

Ricky’s

The crispy Baja-style fish tacos at Ricky’s are legendary. You might have to wait for bit, but the combination of fried fish, chopped cabbage, and pico de gallo will be well worth your time.

Guerrilla Tacos

Before starting Guerrilla Tacos, Wes Avila went to culinary school in France and cut his teeth with the likes of Alain Ducasse. Ultimately he decided to meld his classical training with exceptional produce and began slinging wild boar tacos and truffle quesadillas in front of his favorite coffee spots.

Guisados

When Guisados first opened back in 2010 it was a small family-owned spot specializing in traditional homestyle-braises and fresh made corn tortillas. In the past seven years, four more locations have opened up, but the taco sampler plate remains as amazing as ever.

Tacos Tu Madre

Tacos Tu Madre just might be the most instagrammable taco spot in all of Los Angeles. Thankfully the food is just as amazing so you can rack up those social media likes while chowing down on some fantastic carne asada tacos.

Leo’s

There are hundreds of late-night taco spots in LA, but none are better than Leo’s. You’ll definitely have to stand in line, but the $1.25 al pastor taco will be the best you’ve ever had.
