When you read Cape Seafood and Provisions’ pedigree, you’re already convinced: after Providence (#1 on Jonathan Gold’s list for years) and Connie & Ted’s (the best seafood spot in West Hollywood), Michael Cimarusti decided to open his own seafood shop. If you’re in luck, there will be a lobster roll or a salmon bagel on the specials board that day. The lobster roll comes with a ton of fresh lobster on a deliciously warm brioche bun. The salmon bagel is overloaded with fresh smoked salmon, on a Clark Street Bread bagel, with a good dose of cream cheese and capers. And if the odds were not in your favor, it is an excellent reason to come back another time: the lobster roll and the salmon bagel very often make a come back.
