Joan's on Third - Restaurant Sandwiches West Hollywood

Is there a place more deli-cious on West Hollywood’s 3rd Street than Joan’s on Third? The cheese selection is mesmerizing, as soon as you step in the shop you start eyeing the local burrata, a British Cotswold, or some Rated-R truffle Boschetto. Even if the place is a tad more expensive than your usual grocery shop, you will love playing with the carefully sourced selection of fleur de sel, Rustichella d’Abruzzo pasta, and Greek olive oil. At lunch, make sure you grab a sandwich: the best ones are the Grandma’s and Joan’s pulled-pork, an Angeleno version of Katz’s pastrami. Mrs McNamara is originally from New York (which isn’t a surprise when we see the resemblance with other delis such as Zabar’s and Dean & Deluca) and now runs the place with her husband and their two daughters. During rush hours, the line for a salad or a latte may discourage some customers, but good news: Joan will sometimes rush out of the kitchen with cupcakes to help ease the wait. More good news?
