Little Sister Downtown Los Angeles

Little Sister

The first thing you’ll notice at Little Sister is the big speakers screaming heavy 90s rap at any time of the day. This will appeal to some, and others will choose the nearest window tables facing Bottega Louie. You’d be a fool to take Tin Vuong’s restaurant seriously, as this is a pan-Asian cuisine is best enjoyed with irony, as you would with Danny Bowien’s Mission Chinese. Vietnamese pancakes, Szechuan noodles, Burmese curry or Balinese meatballs: you might lose your passport but definitely not your appetite. The lemongrass chicken is a must-try, along with the steamed black cod with shiitake mushrooms. Opt for lunch,  as Little Sister tends to become too loud and too dark dark at night (or bring your headlamp to read the menu!).
