Falafel Arax

The name is misleading: at Falafel Arax, treat yourself to the kebab rather than the falafels. Don’t get us wrong, they’re the best in the neighborhood, but if you want falafel wraps, you’d rather go to Dune or Madcapra. But still, the shawarmas are to die for. Everything is made to order, so you may have to wait a little before biting in a beef shawarma or lamb tongue sandwich, both with a side of hummus and pickles. Have a chat with the owner while her husband cooks the meat with his eyes riveted on the TV. Fifteen minutes later, after having exhausted all conversation topics (the weather, Lakers, traffic …) you leave with the loot, which is even better appreciated taken-away.
