From Bar Covell and Augustine owner Dustin Lancaster comes Oriel, a neony French wine bar and bistro in the heart of Chinatown. Chef Evan Algorri (Union Square Cafe, Bouley NYC) appears to have created the menu to complement the extensive wine list, i.e. cubed steak tartare with Bub and Grandma’s bread, bubbling onion soup, paté (aptly named Duck in a Jar) and more charcuterie. Oriel is perfect for a date night, or for a quick drink before heading to a book launch at Now Serving.
