The Grill on the Alley

The Grill on the Alley is the kind of place you’d like to take your former boss, or your in-laws. It has been a typical power lunch institution since 1984, with waiters in a classic uniform, no loud music, and a traditional menu: New York steaks, Dover soles, seafood, Vesper martinis… A hidden door on Dayton Way leads you into this typical bistro with mahogany chairs, black-and-white tiled floors, and signed pictures of famous clients on the walls. Sold in late 2019, The Grill on the Alley has kept its charm and continues to be one of the safe bets to dine in Beverly Hills, a neighborhood that’s usually known to be a food desert.
